Our Mission

Project Joy and Hope strives to prevent and relieve suffering for children with life-limiting conditions and their families through community awareness, education, and special supportive care services and programs.

We proudly celebrate 12 years of service to the greater Houston-Galveston area community!

Welcome to Our Site

Valerie WheelerProject Joy and Hope exists to enhance the quality of families and children who live with life-limiting conditions. We are based in the greater Houston-Galveston area and serve as an advisor and model for similar programs throughout Texas and the United States. Project Joy and Hope serves as the parent agency for the Texas Pediatric Palliative Care Consortium (TPPCC).

PJH is the result of the vision of Dr. Jan Wheeler, educator, inspirational speaker, and advocate for pediatric palliative care in Texas. Jan envisioned this supportive care service agency as a result of the end-of-life journey with her daughter, Valerie Grace, who died in 1999.

Project Joy and Hope is pleased that more than 92 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to our programs.    ...Read More
